Useful before you export

Why export 128px and preview 32px?

Discord’s official guide recommends up to 128×128px for optimal resolution and explains that emoji are displayed at 32×32px.

Will this file be accepted?

Discord requires a file smaller than 256KB. We show the real PNG bytes and use a conservative 256,000-byte check. This does not check server permissions, available slots or content rules, and cannot guarantee upload success.

What about GIF and Emoji Studio?

This is a static-image tool. Animated formats are rejected. Discord’s native Emoji Studio is gradually available in its desktop app and browser; its guide says it is not available on mobile.

Which files are supported?

Static PNG, JPEG and WebP, up to 20 MB and 20 megapixels, with no side above 16,384px. GIF, animated PNG and animated WebP are rejected. A damaged or unsupported file shows an error. Output is a new raster image and does not copy EXIF metadata.
